ABSTRACT

Genomic damage was introduced into Escherichiacoli (E.coli) cultured in LB broth via UV light with different exposure durations. With the proliferation of E.coli in five cultured tubes and the significant difference in the measured absorbance between samples from the control and WT tubes, this experiment was conducted with all used materials working properly. The result of this experiment indicates that E.coli would likely get introduced to acute genomic damages when exposed to UV light from 0 to 15 minutes. Even then, further experiments with more samples of E.coli having exposure durations from 0 to 15 minutes are required to consolidate this finding.
