The Schauffler Review is primarily for high school students but also welcomes middle schoolers who aspire to achieve professional publications. We provides an opportunity for students to engage with the peer-review process from the perspective of an author.
Our mission is to help students develop their scientific and academic writing skills while learning how to properly format research for academic purposes. Additionally, we aim to support students in taking their first steps into the research community.
Students may submit any research-focused school work, such as literary analyses, lab reports, or other academic projects. Additionally, independent work with a written component that expands understanding in any field of study is also welcome.
There are many potential benefits to submitting, including gaining valuable research experience, peer review feedback and also having a location to showcase work
Please refer to the Humanities and STEM submission guidelines that are linked above, if you have any further questions please see the Contact Us page
While the timeline can vary based on peer-reviewer availiblity as well as the nature of the submission, one can expect the process to take between 2 and 5 weeks. The timing is also contingent on the submitter addressing the given peer-review feedback in a timely manner
Submissions will only be rejected if the submiter does not address the feedback they receive during the peer review process. The amount of work is subject to varying based on the quality and nature of the initial submission. If all feedback is addressed then the paper will be published
